About Carrie

My name is Carrie. I'm a thirty-something working mom and busy wife who squeezes in as much reading time as possible, especially during my train commutes to and from work. I've always been a big fan of books, as well as anything in the creative arts. I'm a huge historical fiction buff but recently I've been reading more YA books in large part to Shannon and this blog.

8 Fun Facts about me:

1. I was a member of the International Thespian Society in high school.
2. I work for the University of Utah. Go UTES!
3. I went to high school with actor Josh Duhamel...yep, that guy from the Transformers movies.
4. My favorite books series when I was growing up was Anne of Green Gables.
5. I have three tattoos.
6. I too attended the XIX Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. My sister and I went together.
7. British musical artist Imogen Heap rubbed my baby bump when I was pregnant with my son. I'm hoping her musical genius rubbed off on him.
8. Okay I admit it, I own a sparkling Edward Barbie doll. Hope my husband's happy now! ;P
