#2 - The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare

  1. I have a feeling that Patrick Ness series will be making its way into my list soon :) I have a new book by that author in my TBR right now and it'll be my first time reading him.

  2. Hex Hall is on my list, too, so it's good I'm not the only one late to the series. :) Also, I've read the first book of Fire & Thorns, and highly recommend it. I've also got The Body Finder on my TBR shelf, so hopefully we'll get to these series soon!

  6. Shannon, I hope you like the Mortal Instrument series once you start it. It's one of my faves!

Carrie, you're the third person I've seen who has mentioned the Jessica Darling series. I've never even heard of this. I guess I need to look it up.

  9. It seems like everyone YA author who writes a book these days is writing a series, so there are plenty of them out there. I hope you both get to some of them soon. Shannon, if you do end up reading The Mortal Instruments series, stop at book three. The others are not worth it.

    Happy Reading Ladies.

  10. Carrie - Fire and Thorns and Jessica Darling are on mine. I'm going to read those this year for sure! Hex Hall is fun and Bloodlines has just started getting great. I don't know anything about that Simone Elkeles series. I'll have to look it up.

Shannon - I love the Mortal Instruments and The Vampire Academy. I have one book left of Chaos Walking and I think it's going to be EPIC!

    1. I have read a few books by Simone Elkeles and enjoyed them. I found the Borders exclusive edition of the Ruined series all bound together into one book. I'm excited to read it. We are still reading the Jessica Darling series together, right? :-)
