Carrie's Review:
Sins & Needles grabbed me right away with the cover and
the premise but it didn't stop there. From the beginning the story drew me in and
kept me turning the pages.
At the beginning, we meet Ellie who is quite a spitfire. She
is tough and beautiful but also damaged and running from her past. This girl
has baggage which makes her vulnerable and desperate. This also makes her
unlikable at times. She is the type of character you want to smack across the
face and then hug fiercely the next.
Then we have Camden. Oh my goodness. This boy is sex on a
stick. Toned body, pierced & tattooed, rockin the hipster glasses, plays
guitar and is a talented tattoo artist. What's not to like right? Well there is
more to Camden beneath that hip exterior. He has plenty of secrets of his own.
Put these crazy kids together and it makes for one emotional
ride. I really enjoyed the way Karina paced this story. She starts us in the
present but then we have flashbacks of the past that help piece together what
makes these characters tick. What shaped them into who they are today?
This book has it all. There is action, secrets, lies and
sex. Hot guys, fast cars, tattoo needles and backyard barbeques. Camden can
make me a steak anytime. Sorry, what was I saying again?
This is the first book in a series and I can't wait to see
where the story goes from here. After all the twists and turns and that jaw
dropping ending, I need the next book like now!
*Side note* I review a lot of YA books so I thought it
important to mention that this book is NOT YA. It contains graphic sex scenes.

Uhm...I want to meet this Camden. NOW! He sounds pretty dang delicious... I'm also very intrigued to find out what all the secrets are. Great review, Carrie!
