If you are a blogger who receives ARCs for review, what do you do with the ARCs once you've read and reviewed them?
Shannon:
I usually do one of two things with the ARCs I receive for review, either I gift them to the librarians at my local library who read YA or put them out on the SBB ARC Tour. Every now and then though I will keep one if its signed or was gifted from an author.
Carrie:
What do I do with my ARCs? Well I keep mine for the most part. Quite a lot of them I have taken to events or received from authors so they are signed.

I'm like Carrie...I tend to keep mine :) Sometimes I get them signed or I like the book enough keep the ARC but not pay for a new copy. If it's for a book that was just 'meh' then I'll donate it or pass it along to another blogger.

I pass mine along to blogger friends who I know and trust and that haven't received them. Since I like to buy finished copies of my favorites, this keeps my shelves from being even more full than they already are and garners another review for the book!
ReplyDeleteI keep most of mine as well. The ones I don't really care for get donated to my local library or given to other bloggers.

I buy the finished copy when I like the book to support the author, so I always give them away or donate them. Otherwise, it's too much clutter!
ReplyDeleteI'll only keep it if it's been signed or had a cover change or I know the author, etc. AKA, something special that makes the book unique!
I give them away to other bloggers or trade them to other bloggers. I haven't tried giving them to a library, but I should. I've got some back stock taking up precious shelf space right now!
ReplyDeleteI barely get any at all so I just keep mine
