  1. That's a lot of girls in pretty dresses, I think the trend is now overdone. My favs here are Unraveling and Violins of Autumn.

  2. I agree the pretty girls in pretty dresses is becoming played out. Is it just me or does Darkness Before Dawn remind anyone else of the Torment cover?

  3. You know what's funny? I pride myself in being kept up-to-date as far new releases... How is that I'VE NEVER LAID EYES ON ANY OF THESE?! Well, except for maybe two. Still I can't tell this upcoming closing to the year and next year are going to be epic for us book lovers!

  4. I love every single one of these covers. As a result, I am now going to add pretty much all of these to my TBR list.

I agree with Carrie, though, that the cover for Darkness Before Dawn reminds me of the Torment cover. My first thought when I saw the cover for Darkness Before Dawn was, "Wait, what Fallen book is this?" And Carrie, I can see why you think the pretty girls in pretty dresses theme is becoming played out. I do like those kinds of covers, but they have to be done just right. And it has to really fit in with what the book is about, the way the covers for the Luxe series do.

  5. I haven't seen most of these either! Sweet Evil actually really reminds me of the Fallen covers because of the title font and even that little swirl.
I love the covers for Dark Kiss, For Darkness Shows the Stars and I think especially Girl Meets Boy cuz it sounds so cute!

  6. Ooh - most of these were new to me!

Definitely a ballgowns trend - except for the Lost Code. For some reason, something about that cover is a bit off for me. The models are the right age and dressed in contemporary fashion, but something about it just feels a little - Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys team up . . .

  7. Girl meets boy is such a fun, cute cover! Kissing Shakespeare (love the title) reminds me of Eternal Sterling but the covers are so peaceful-looking and simple yet beautiful! Dark Kiss reminds me of edward cullen lol! And I love darkness of dawn and how dark and mysterious it looks :)

  8. Holy uber dresses, Batman! Ditto that it's starting to feel a little played out. Plus, I kinda think covers are more leaning toward pretty, sparkly poses than actually saying anything about the story, which is a personal pet peeve of mine.

From that standpoint, I'm intrigued by The Waiting Sky because a tornado in a jar is *very* foreshadowing!!!!
