Adapt Me - Perks of Being A Wallflower

It may have been rumored for months, but it looks like its finally official that Emma Watson & Logan Lerman will be starring in Summit Entertainments adaption of Stephan Chbosky's novel The Perks of Being A Wallflower. The movie is set to begin filming this summer with Lerman playing Charlie, a teen dealing with a very serious crush (Watson) and his best friend's suicide. What do you think of the casting choices? I think these two will be great, although it does make me wonder if their going to make the character of Charlie slightly older. Share your thoughts below and as always I will keep you updated on the project as it continues to develop.

  1. I think they're the perfect cast to play the characters, and I'm a huge fan of Watson :)

  3. I am very much looking forward to seeing Watson outside the Harry Potter world... I think she will be GREAT! Plus, I loved Logan in Percy Jackson, even if the movie didn't live up to the book.... but isn't it always like that?!

  4. I'm not a fan of Emma Watson... but this Logan Lerman kid looks pretty much exactly like my vision of Charlie. I really, really hope they keep it true to the book, i.e. set in the early 90s. It would be really frustrating if they set it in the present day.

  5. I read this book with a friend and we both loved it! It was definitely intense at times though. I think both Watson and Lerman would be great actors for the roles. I agree though about maybe making Charlie older.

  6. I don't know if they could pick two better looking actors! I'm a huge fan of both Logan Lerman and Emma Watson, so it'll be interesting to see them as Charlie and Sam.

  7. This book has been my favorite since I saw the cover of it in my best friends room. If I could make every teen ager read this book, I would. I've read it over 5 times, This book helped me see life from a completely different point of view. After reading it I found myself thinking more and more like Charlie.
