It may have been rumored for months, but it looks like its finally official that Emma Watson & Logan Lerman will be starring in Summit Entertainments adaption of Stephan Chbosky's novel The Perks of Being A Wallflower. The movie is set to begin filming this summer with Lerman playing Charlie, a teen dealing with a very serious crush (Watson) and his best friend's suicide. What do you think of the casting choices? I think these two will be great, although it does make me wonder if their going to make the character of Charlie slightly older. Share your thoughts below and as always I will keep you updated on the project as it continues to develop.

I think they're the perfect cast to play the characters, and I'm a huge fan of Watson :)
ReplyDeleteI would love if they were the main characters! Absolutely perfect :)

I am very much looking forward to seeing Watson outside the Harry Potter world... I think she will be GREAT! Plus, I loved Logan in Percy Jackson, even if the movie didn't live up to the book.... but isn't it always like that?!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of Emma Watson... but this Logan Lerman kid looks pretty much exactly like my vision of Charlie. I really, really hope they keep it true to the book, i.e. set in the early 90s. It would be really frustrating if they set it in the present day.
ReplyDeleteI read this book with a friend and we both loved it! It was definitely intense at times though. I think both Watson and Lerman would be great actors for the roles. I agree though about maybe making Charlie older.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if they could pick two better looking actors! I'm a huge fan of both Logan Lerman and Emma Watson, so it'll be interesting to see them as Charlie and Sam.
ReplyDeleteThis book has been my favorite since I saw the cover of it in my best friends room. If I could make every teen ager read this book, I would. I've read it over 5 times, This book helped me see life from a completely different point of view. After reading it I found myself thinking more and more like Charlie.
