Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit) is set to star in the film version of Cat Patrick's debut novel Forgotten for Paramount Pictures. The project is still in very early stages, as the script is still being written and no other cast or crew have signed on. Forgotten tells the story of 16 year-old London Lane who loses her memory each night and in the morning only has a note telling her about the day before. When London starts experiencing disturbing visions she can't make sense of, she realizes it's time to learn a little more about the past she keeps forgetting-before it destroys her future. The novel is set for a June release from Little Brown Publishing.
I think this project sound like a great fit for Hailee and I'm glad to see her choosing interesting roles. The novel sounds amazing and I can't wait to read it for myself. As always I will keep you updated as the film develops and feel free to share your thoughts below!
Thanks to Deadline Hollywood for the scoop.

That is an amazingly creative plot, wow! The book sounds like it's going to be fantastic. Haha, London Lane is such a cute and unique name it makes me wonder if there's any connection to the plot or deeper significance to it. I'm looking forward to the release of the book!
ReplyDeleteWOW! This is one of my most anticipated reads and now it's going to hit (soon) the big screen too. Cool! :)
ReplyDeleteThis seems like a very interesting read. It reminds me very much of The Marbury Lens by Andrew Smith, as the main character often loses his memory while wearing the glasses that take him to Marbury. Can't wait to read Forgotten!
