Sequel/Series Sunday #4

It's been a little over a month since I've done a Sequel/Series Sunday post, which means its time to do another one. Plus I didn't buy any books, or get any for review this week, which means I have nothing for an in my mailbox post.

This post is to highlight sequels I can't wait for and series I haven't read yet. They can be old or new books as long as I've never read them. Feel free to comment on the Sequel/Series you're excited about!

I'm a pretty big fan of Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins, so its probably not a surprise that I really want to read DemonGlass. I don't plan on buying many books in February, but I will definitely be picking up a copy of this one.

DemonGlass: (Hex Hall #2) by Rachel Hawkins
~sequel to Hex Hall

I really want to read the Gone series, but I just haven't gotten around to it. Part of the reason, is the size of each book, all but one is over 500 pages. I could read two books, in the time it would take me to read one of these. I do want to read them for my YA Series Challenge though and I've heard they're really good, so hopefully I'll get to them soon. If you've read them, please let me know what you thought!

Gone Series: by Michael Grant
~3 books in the series, Plague(Gone #4) due out April 5th, 2011
(6 planned in the series, so far)

What sequel are you most looking forward to? What popular series have you never read?

  1. I can't believe I've only read book one in the GONE series! I loved the first book, and I just never have time to continue.

I haven't read Hex Hall either! Eep!

  2. I've only read the first book in Michael Grant's "Gone" series, but it just blew me away, and I really want to get my hands on the rest of the books to see if they're just as good! I hear they are, so hopefully neither of us will be disappointed!

  3. This reminds me, I need to read Lies still. I have waited for forever to read it! I love the Gone series! Its awsome! And Hex Hall! One of my favorites! I can not wait for Demonglass, I'm going to need to start saving up for it along with the bazillion other great books coming out in February.

  4. I haven't read any of these. :( I do love a good series though. It's nice to know that if you read the first book and loved it, there is another one right there to pick up next. :)

My favorite series (besides Harry Potter) is Maria V. Snyder's "Study Series" (including, Poison Study, Fire Study, and Magic Study!). Now she has a new series. I just ordered "Inside Out" and then "Outside In" comes out is a bit.

Anyway, this feeature seems like a good idea. I liked it.

  5. I'm really looking forward to DemonGlass as well. Hex Hall was amazing! I've always been hesitant to start the Gone series for the same reason you are- the size. But I'll get to it someday soon hopefully.

The Gone series sounds good but I'm put off by the size of it

  7. I can't wait to read Demonglass! I have a copy but I've been putting it off until closer to the release date. I haven't read the Gone series, but I plan to soon!

One popular series that I haven't read is Hunger Games. Think I may be the last YA book blogger who hasn't!! :)

  9. Demon glass is the one I'm dying to read too. It comes out here in the UK under a different name, but I am hoping to get the US version as I love that cover and name.

  10. I really want to read the Gone series too. I figure I've waited this long, I might as well wait until the rest of the books in the series are published.

I read the Everworld series co-written by Michael Grant and K. A. Applegate and they were super fast reads. If Gone is written in the same style, then I wouldn't be so intimidated by the large page count. They'll fly by.
